deGrom says he’ll opt out after 2022

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Fully healthy following an offseason of rest, Mets ace Jacob deGrom said definitively on Monday that he intends to trigger the opt-out in his contract after the 2022 season.
The decision won’t necessarily affect deGrom’s ability to be a Met for life, as he said
